Notably, the legislative board in Iowa amended the legislation to allow LMHCs, LISWs and LMFT to supervise tLMHCs ,LMSWs and tLMFTs during their clinical hours. Supervisors in Iowa are required to complete six CEs of supervisory training; however, JWCC goes above and above these standards. A list of supervisors approved by the Board is also provided by Iowa. The list is available here. In Iowa, we also offer clinical consulting services for different kinds of licenses. It is important that you keep a close eye on your hours worked and obtain the appropriate advice in order to provide your customers with the finest care possible. Furthermore, in Iowa, a supervision plan needs to be submitted.

LMHC, LISW, & LMFT

To receive supervision in Iowa, one must complete 200 hours under the direction of a licensed LMHC, LISW,  or LMFT. 100 hours must be individual supervision.
